We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Nicole Carter and Ruth Crocker, the newest members of the Invest Board! Their extensive experience and dedication to the industry and talent development will be invaluable as we continue to grow and shape our future.

Nicole Carter, Vice President, PL Sales, Strategic Distribution & Agent Experience

Nicole Carter brings a wealth of knowledge to the board. As Vice President of Personal Lines Sales, Strategic Distribution & Agent Experience at Grange and Integrity, she is a driving force behind optimizing inside sales and enriching key relationships across all sub-channels—from traditional and network to digital platforms. Her work is crucial in setting our long-term success roadmap and supporting agency enablement mapping within the Enterprise technology strategy.

“Invest is creating vital connections between students, educators and the insurance industry,” said Carter. “ I am proud to be a part of a board that’s shaping pathways for young people to build successful and purpose-driven careers while strengthening the future of our communities.”

Nicole joined Grange in May 2022, boasting an impressive 30 years of experience spanning sales, distribution, claims, and corporate leadership in Property & Casualty (P&C). Her career includes impactful roles at Allstate Insurance, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Her diverse background and strategic focus on distribution will be a tremendous asset to the Invest Board.

Ruth Crocker, Senior Manager, Talent Outreach & Strategic Partnerships, WSIA

We are delighted to welcome Ruth Crocker, a passionate leader in cultivating the next generation of insurance professionals. As the Senior Manager of Talent Outreach & Strategic Partnerships at the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA), Ruth spearheads strategic initiatives to raise awareness of careers in the wholesale, specialty, and surplus lines insurance sector.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Invest to highlight the variety of rewarding career opportunities within insurance and specialty lines,” Crocker said. “Our goal is to ensure students are exposed to these opportunities early, so they can make informed and empowered decisions about their future. This collaboration helps us open doors and spark curiosity that can shape lifelong careers.”

Ruth’s work is centered on building a stronger, more diverse talent pipeline by partnering with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), military transition services, and other educational institutions. Her focus is attracting, developing, and retaining top early-career talent while fostering inclusive opportunities for underrepresented student populations.

Before joining WSIA in November 2024, Ruth dedicated 25 years to CNA Insurance, where she held various leadership roles and was an active Employee Resource Group (ERG) leader, advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. She also served as a founding board member of the Los Angeles chapter of the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA). Ruth is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration, an MBA in Global Management, and a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University.
