Expanding Pathways to Insurance Careers

Since launching its partnership with WebCE earlier this year, the National Invest Program has expanded access to insurance pre-licensing education for high school and community college students nationwide. As Invest’s preferred national provider of insurance pre-licensing education, WebCE is helping remove barriers to entry and creating more direct pathways for students pursuing careers in the insurance industry.

Through this partnership, Invest students can access Classroom to Career Scholarships to fund access to WebCE’s industry-leading pre-licensing courses, enabling them to begin preparing for insurance licensing exams while still in high school or community college. Invest has provided Classroom to Career scholarships for over 15 years to help students take their first steps into the industry by supporting licensing courses, entry-level training, and professional designations. In addition, Invest offers Collegiate Scholarships for students pursuing degrees in insurance, risk management, or business-related fields who plan to enter the industry after graduation—further strengthening the pipeline of future insurance professionals. 

“The only sustainable solution to address the insurance industry’s looming demographic cliff is a robust pipeline of new talent,” said Tabitha Richardson. “Providing high school and community college students with the same caliber of education used by top insurance professionals ensures the next generation is prepared for the complexities of the market.” 

WebCE’s complete pre-licensing course library for state licensing exam preparation includes Life & Health, Property & Casualty, and Personal Lines courses. The platform features advanced learning tools such as WiseBot AI, which provides real-time support through a Chat Tutor, along with an Exam Readiness Score that analyzes course activity to help students assess their preparation. 

Additional resources include Study Guide Workbooks and My Study Planner for personalized study plans, as well as Exam Tutor, which offers unlimited state exam simulations and customized practice tests. EXCEED Reinforcements provide short microlearning videos designed to strengthen retention with practical, real-world applications that remain relevant throughout students’ careers.

With WebCE’s pre-licensing education now available through the Invest network, more students will have the opportunity to gain the credentials and confidence needed to begin careers in the insurance industry.
