InVEST Honors 2015 Teacher of the Year

ALEXANDRIA, VA, Oct. 19, 2015 – Denise Tucker, from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, has received the 2015 InVEST 'Teacher of the Year' award. The program is a key driver to attract new talent to the insurance industry.

Tucker has taught high school for over nine years, including four on the Woodrow Wilson faculty. A popular teacher and community leader, she was nominated by the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas. Tucker is credited with bringing the InVEST program to her school and successfully managing an exciting curriculum that includes internships, job shadowing days, and launching an Academy of Finance Advisory Board operated by students.
 
“The future of the independent agency system is contingent on attracting new talent and InVEST is a major part of this development,” says Robert Rusbuldt, Big “I” president & CEO. “Dedicated educators like Denise are critical and we’re so grateful that they continue stepping up to train, inspire and teach the next generation of industry leaders.”  
Tucker earned a BS in Marketing at St. John’s University.
