Agency Simulation Guide Available for InVEST Programs
Set-up a mock insurance agency in your local school.
InVEST has a simulation guide to aid InVEST schools and volunteers with setting up a mock simulation in the classroom. The guide details different job descriptions for open positions, how to have students apply to those positions, roles within the agency and home office, how to set up their agency including creating a name and logo, paying bills, etc., how to use the free resources during the simulation (EZLynx rating software, Doris agency management, ACORD forms, etc.), and how to calculate the success of each agency. Students not only learn business skills useful in any career, they also gain experience using software real insurance agencies use and understand how policy premiums are calculated.
 
Mock simulations have been considered one of the most engaging and exciting parts of the InVEST program for students, and the guide makes it that much easier to implement one into a local program.
